I Just Love My Husband!

"I just love my husband so dang much!" That's what I had to keep telling myself Thursday night at 11pm when I opened the dryer to an entire load of khaki's ruined because of a pen left in someones pocket. That's right the entire load (about $500 worth of clothes) and the inside of the dryer covered with black ink. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. After an hour and a trip to the store for nail polish remover I was able to use my dryer again. I wish I would have taken pictures but I was to mad. Now do I make Brandon do his own laundry or sew his pockets shut so this doesn't happen again.

Getting to know us better.

I saw this and thought it was cute. I usually don't do these but with valentines days yesterday and our anniversary coming I thought what the heck.
♥ How long have you been together? Together 5 years in April. Married 4 years next month.
♥ How long did you know each other before you started dating? We met on a blind date and never looked back.
♥ Who asked who out? Well Brian Adams set us up on a blind date.
♥ How old are each of you? 26 and 24
♥ Whose siblings do/ did you see the most? about even
♥ Do you have any children together? Nope. Hopefully someday.
♥ What about pets? Our stupid fish that wont die. I love the dumb thing but am over it. Our Niece and Nephews LOVE it though so we have to keep it for them.
♥ Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?Well probable the one we are dealing with right now. We found out that trying to start a family isn't going to be very easy for us. Will go in to more detail at a later time.
♥ Did you ever go to the same school? Nope
♥ Are you from the same home town? Nope. Me Henderson, Him Moapa
♥ Who is the smartest? Well since Brandon is the only one with a college degree right now that would be him.
♥ Who is the most sensitive? me.
♥ Where do you eat out most as a couple? Our house. Living in a small town we don't have to many options.
♥ Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? That would be Trinidad Tobago & Barbados
♥ Who has the craziest exes? Since Brandon says he doesn't have ex's (which I don't believe) I would say me.
♥ Who has the worst temper? That would be me!
♥ Who does the cooking? We like to cook together.
♥ Who is more social? Depends. We both can be.
♥ Who is the neat freak? I would say we both tend to be.
♥ Who is the more stubborn? That would be me!
♥ Who wakes up earlier? I tend to not before hitting snooze like 20 times. Brandon HATES when I do this.
♥ Where was your first date? Double date with Brian and Andrea. I was like 2 hours late. watched Drum line at the Scobles, made milkshakes, played Sorry, and went bowling.
♥ Who has the bigger family? Mine. I have 5 siblings and he has 3.
♥Do you get flowers often? Several times a year. He is so good to me.
♥ Who is more jealous? That would be me. Whenever we are out and I think another girl is checking him out I get pissed! Hey at least I admit it.
♥ How long did it take to get serious? Like 2 dates! hey when you know its right why wait. Really we didn't say we loved each other for like 4 months but We both knew where it was going sooner than that.
♥ Who eats more? he does.
♥ Who does/ did the laundry? Usually me but if I ask him he will
♥ Who’s better with the computer? he is
♥ Who drives when you are together? He does!
Where is your DREAM vacation for the two of you as a couple? We were lucky enough to take a dream vacation this past summer. We went back to part of Brandon's mission. We went to Trinidad Tobago and Barbados. It was amazing. My grandma and sister joined us.

movie night

Life has been way crazy for us the last few weeks and Monday was the first day in forever we didn't do anything. We decided to have a movie night. We went to the store and got all kinds of junk food, rented a movie and took the mattress off the guest bed and watch movies. It was nice to relax and do nothing for once.

WOW I'm a slacker!

Holy Cow I have alot of catching up to do. Im going to try to cram 3 weeks into one post.

First on the 17-20 I went with the basketball team down to Anaheim for a tourney. What was supposed to be a 5 hour trip ended up taking 31 or so hours!! 10 of those hour being stuck on i-15 in Victorville in the snow! It took 10 hours to go 4 miles. We took the school vans and the boys had snowball wars between the 2. The first 3 hours was fun but after that we were ready to get off the freeway but due to the snow, trucks jackknifed and the freeway being shut down there was no where for us to go. We call around trying to get hotel rooms but everyone else had the same idea and they were all booked. Thanks to my aunts friends who was willing to take in 13 high school kind and 4 adults. We had warm beds an amazing breakfast and the boys had places to plug in their cellphones and didnt have to sleep in the vans. Ben Sharon Alice & Eddie were awesome. Thanks so much.





Than we had Christmas eve and Brandons Parents house. We had a good dinner and the kids sang jingle bells. It was way cute. We stayed at our house that night and got up and went to my parents house for breakfast.




Every year Christmas morning is a big deal at my parents house. We all look forward to it all year long. My Mom makes sausage fondue and ebelskivers ( see picture below to see what they look like) they are amazing. Thanks mom and Grandma for all the hard work to make this such a special morning.

And then on Monday was my birthday and it started out with a freezing cold shower and so I called to get my water heater fixed at 7:30am and went on with my day thinking I would get a call back. My sisters and I went to St. George shopping and I everything on my list which NEVER happens. Then we went to Brandon Basketball game because the team had another tourney and we got home at about 4:00. My sister in law and nephews came to visit me and Kenzie went into my laundry room and found it flooded!! At this point I still hadnt heard anything back on getting my water heater fixed and now it was all over the place. So I called my home warranty company back and found out that no one could come fix it until Tuesday sometime in the afternoon maybe not until 5! I wasnt to happy but we got thru it and now I got a new water heater and I get to deal with the hassle of getting my laundry floor and walls repaired. Happy Birthday to me!!

My Sweet hunny

Last Tuesday I was sitting at work when these flowers were delivered! This time of year my office gets all kinds of goodies from other offices so I just thought thats was what it was until the guy asked if a Lacey Jones was there. I immediately turned my head and said that was me! Who would be sending me flowers I asked myself. I opened the card and it said "I'm starting a tradition of giving you something after each sport I coach. It may not always be flowers, but this time it is. I don't know what I would do without you. I love you!" I started crying! It came at just the right time when I need something. This is so unlike Brandon. He always makes sure I know how much he loves me but this time he went the extra mile. Now I get 3 extra surprises a year. I love Brandon so dang much!! Thanks hb!!!!!!!

Football and Thanksgiving weekend

Sorry this is so long I need to catch up.
First, Moapa Valley High School took state once again. This makes a back to back title. Its been 40 years since the school has done that. Im so happy for Brandon. All the film watching paid off.

For Thanksgiving we went to Orem Ut to Brandons sister house. We had alot of fun. Brooke had pumpkins from Halloween ( not carved) and Thanksgiving that she used to decorate and decided to have a pumpkin launch/ throwing contest. Behind her house is a canal so we went on her deck to see who could throw them the farthest. Brandon won the first round. Then Brandon and Don used a towel to launch the big huge pumpkins. It was alot of fun.

Friday night we all bundled up and went up to Salt Lake to see the lights at temple square. I had never been there to see the lights. It was so pretty but there was way too many people there. I highly recommend it but not on a Friday night. Oh and take some hot chocolate.

While all the family was together (which doesn't happen to often) we took a family picture. I learned how to use the timer function on my camera (which Brandon isn't to happy about now because that means more pictures of me and him) so we got everyone in place and I would push the button and run to get in the picture.

We had so much fun all being together. Thanks Brooke, Troy and Kate for letting us all stay at your house!!!
