Wedding weekend

Brandon's sister Brianne married Robert this weekend in Vegas. It was a very beautiful wedding and we are so happy for them. We also decided to make a weekend get away out of it and stayed at Harrahs hotel in a nice suite. Congrats Brianne and Robert!!!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing Mothers out there!

This is a day that I dread every year, but I am thankful to all of you Mother's who are wonderful examples to me and I know one day I will get to enjoy the title of Mother.

Our First 5 Years of Forever!!

Brandon and I hit our 5 year mark of marriage on March 25! It has been an amazing, fun, trying, growing together and learning 5 years. We have been through some things we never thought we'd have to deal with, had some Awesome vacation, watched some highs and lows of Brandon's coaching adventures, lost some very important family members and young friends/ students. We have grown closer together and have learned that TOGETHER we can make it through anything!!! We are excited to see what the next 5+ years has to bring us.

Brandon: I love you more than you will ever know. Thanks for sticking by me and being there with me through my lowest times. I love you so much and am thankful for amazing man you are. Thanks for all you do for me. I love you Babe!!!

New addition

Remember my post about patience? Well we decided to test it out with this:

Meet Bruiser!! He a 9 week old Maltese and they say he will only get to be about 3lbs!! So far he has been a great dog. We have had him for a week and it has been an adjustment. I'm not really a dog person but i just love little Bruiser!

2010

Everywhere in nature we are taught the lessons of patience and waiting. We want things a long time before we get them, and the fact that we want them a long time makes them all the more precious when they come.
~Joseph F. Smith
Patience: What Im hoping to learn this year.

Christmas 2009

Christmas this year was a hard but good one being the first Christmas year without Grandma. We all had a wonderful time being with family and doing what Grandma would have wanted us to do.
Breakfast was really hard for me this year. I took my Grandmas place and helped my mom cook the ebelskivers. I know Grandma was right there helping us and adding her special touch to everything.

Then there was this. This was my Grandmas that her brother brought back from his mission in New Zealand. It is small neck pendant in the form of a human fetus, used by the Maori of New Zealand as a fertility symbol. Usually carved of green nephrite or a jade like stone called pounamu that is found along the western coast of the South Island, hei tikis normally are worn only by women. The object is believed to possess magical powers that increase as it is passed on from generation to generation. Aunt Tami happened when this was given to Grandma! With what Brandon and I are going through, Grandpa thought it should go to us, and no one else wants the "powers" of it right now!
On the 26th Brandon's parents took us all to see the Lion King. It was AMAZING!! We loved it. I didn't take any pictures but when I get copies I'll post them.
Thanks to all for our families for a wonderful Christmas and all the memories that were made. We love you all!!

I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year!!

I'm Spending Christmas With Jesus Christ This Year!
I see the countless Christmas trees
Around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars
reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular
Please wipe away a tear
For I 'm spending Christmas
With Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs
That people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare
With the Christmas choir up here.

For I have no words to tell you
The joy their voices bring
For it is beyond description
To hear an angel sing.

I know how much you miss me
For I feel your breaking heart...
But through our memories so dear
We're never far apart.

I can't tell you of the Splendor
Or the peace here in this place.
Can you just imagine Christmas
With our Savior face to face?

I'll ask him to light your spirit
As I tell him of your love.
So then pray for one another
As you lift your eyes above.

So please let your hearts be joyful
And let your spirit sing.
For I'm spending Christmas in Heaven
And I'm walking with the King.
